Gachagua hosts family dinner for son’s birthday in Nairobi; [Photos]

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday evening hosted a special family dinner in Nairobi to celebrate his son, Keith Ikinu.
The intimate celebration was held at the Carnivore Simba Salon and was attended by his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, and close family members. Gachagua described the occasion as joyful and filled with gratitude.
Sharing the moment on X on February 19, 2026, the former Deputy President expressed appreciation for family, writing that he was thankful to God as they marked their son’s birthday.
“I thank God for the gift of family,” he wrote. “Tonight, I am overjoyed by family presence as we treated our dear son, Keith Ikinu, to a sumptuous birthday dinner at the Carnivore Simba Salon, Nairobi.”

Gachagua also took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recalling his earlier visit to the iconic restaurant in 1984. He praised Carnivore for maintaining its reputation for excellent service, quality cuisine, warm ambience and friendly staff over the years.
He reminisced about enjoying nyama choma and dancing the night away during his youthful days, describing the evening as both sentimental and memorable.
Closing his message, he penned a heartfelt tribute to his son: “What a nostalgic evening with my family. Happy birthday, Daktari Keith!”
