Rongo University Advertises 35 Vacant Positions

Rongo University has announced 35 job opportunities in both academic and administrative departments, calling on qualified Kenyans to submit their applications before the September 30, 2025 deadline.
The university, through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said the vacancies range from senior administrative roles to tutorial fellowships.
“We are committed to attracting qualified candidates who can support the growth and academic excellence of the university,” the University stated in the notice.
Among the administrative positions advertised are Registrar, Academic Affairs (re-advertisement); Registrar, Administration and Planning; Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs; Deputy Registrar, Administration and Planning; Deputy Dean of Students; Deputy Finance Officer; Senior Assistant Librarian; Farm Manager (re-advertisement); Administrative Assistant II; Corporate Communications Assistant; Research Assistant I; Auxiliary Staff; and a newly listed Brain Stimulation Technician.
On the academic side, the institution is seeking lecturers in disciplines such as Political Science, French, Water and Hydrology Management, Graphic Design for Visual Impairment, Special Needs Education (Hearing Impairment), Pure Mathematics, Communication, Chemistry, Geography with Mining, Information Technology, Economics, Literature, Sports Science, Civil Engineering, and Technology Education (Computer Studies). In addition, tutorial fellowships are available in Education Management and Policy, Human Resource Management, and Health Records/Health Systems.
Applicants are required to submit ten copies of their applications, including an application letter, certified copies of their national ID, academic and professional certificates, detailed curriculum vitae, and testimonials.
The university emphasized that each application must clearly indicate the reference number of the position applied for, both on the letter and the envelope.
Interested candidates are requested to address the applications to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Planning, P.O. Box 290-40406, Rongo.
In addition, applicants are advised to contact their referees and request them to send reference letters under sealed envelopes to the same address.
The university further cautioned that late applications will not be considered.
“Any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted,” the notice added.
Rongo University reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity, encouraging applications from both genders, persons with disabilities, and individuals from marginalized communities.
It further clarified that those who had applied previously for re-advertised positions need not reapply.
