A meeting of senior Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) officials in Karen nearly turned chaotic following reports of a heated confrontation involving Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.

Sources claimed tensions arose over internal party politics and alleged links to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, triggering sharp exchanges during the closed-door session.

However, both Sifuna and Junet dismissed the claims, denying that any altercation occurred and maintaining that the meeting was cordial and focused on party unity.

ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire also downplayed the reports, terming suggestions of a fight as “a perfect exaggeration.”

Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi confirmed that the meeting took place but said no details of any confrontation were shared publicly.

Osotsi noted that the session was convened as part of efforts to reconcile party factions ahead of an upcoming National Executive Committee meeting.

The developments come amid heightened activity within ODM as the party seeks to manage internal differences and present a united front ahead of key political engagements.
