Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced a fresh round of job vacancies targeting senior management roles, coming just days after it unveiled 24,000 internship opportunities for junior school teachers.

In a notice published on Tuesday, August 26th, the Commission invited applications from qualified, result-oriented and motivated Kenyans to fill five positions across ICT, labour relations and security services.

Among the advertised roles are Deputy Director ICT – Systems & Innovation, Deputy Director ICT – Information Security, Deputy Director – Labour & Industrial Relations, Deputy Director – Security Services and Assistant Director – Security Services. Each of the positions carries one vacancy.

“The Commission wishes to attract individuals who can bring leadership, integrity and innovation into these critical roles,” the notice read in part.

Applicants are required to submit their applications exclusively through the TSC website, www.tsc.go.ke, or via teachersonline.tsc.go.ke before 11:59pm on September 9th.

The Commission stressed that physical applications will not be accepted.

“Manual applications will not be considered, and candidates are reminded to carefully follow the online submission procedure,” the notice added.

The announcement follows the August 12, 2025 declaration of 24,000 internship slots for junior school teachers to support the ongoing rollout of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

That program targets unemployed graduates with at least a diploma in education and a C+ grade in KCSE, who will be paid a stipend of Sh20,000 per month.

On the new vacancies, TSC emphasized its equal employment policy, encouraging diversity in applications.

“People with disabilities, the marginalized and the minorities are therefore encouraged to apply,” TSC said.

The Commission also issued stern warnings against fraudulent submissions.

“It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates or include incorrect information in the application,” TSC warned.

“Do not be misled by middlemen or conmen. The process is transparent, free, and strictly online.”

TSC explained that the Commission is reinforcing its human resource base at both technical and administrative levels.

“The education sector is expanding and with it comes the need for more specialized leadership to secure systems, manage labour issues and improve service delivery,” TSC noted.
