Flight 5047 had just arrived from Charlotte, North Carolina, when the wing of flight 5155, preparing to depart to Roanoke, Virginia, collided with the nose of their aircraft.

Their mobile phones were switched off shortly after the incident, and their whereabouts remain unknown.

According to eyewitnesses, the activists were intercepted around 3 p.m. by four men armed with rifles who arrived in a grey van. A woman was also seen seated in the front seat of the vehicle.
