Ruto Makes Fresh Envoy Appointments

President William Ruto has announced fresh changes in Kenya’s Foreign Service, appointing new envoys and redeploying senior diplomats to key missions abroad.
In a press release issued by the Executive Office of the President, the Head of State said the changes are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Kenya’s diplomatic presence, which now spans seventy-two countries and territories.
“The President has instituted further changes within the nation’s Foreign Service,” the statement read, noting that the adjustments are aimed at enhancing diplomatic representation.
According to the statement, the changes include nominations to newly established missions approved by Cabinet, as well as appointments to fill vacancies created by the end of tenure of serving diplomats.
Kosiom Frank Ole Kibelekenya has been nominated as Ambassador to Copenhagen in the Kingdom of Denmark, while Elias Bare Shill has been nominated as Deputy Ambassador to Mogadishu in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
Ambassador Joseph Warui has been redeployed to Moscow in the Russian Federation, while Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Nur has been nominated to serve in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania.
The President has also forwarded one nomination to Parliament for consideration.
“His Excellency the President has transmitted the nomination of the full Ambassador to the National Assembly for consideration and approval by Parliament,” the statement added.
