Kericho Mass Grave: Horror as DCI Unearths 33 Bodies, 6 Body Parts at Makaburini Cemetery

Kericho: Homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters have uncovered 33 bodies at a mass grave in Makaburini Cemetery.

The officers, who arrived at Makaburini Cemetery on Tuesday, March 24, recovered a total of 33 bodies from the site.

Preliminary findings indicate that among the victims are both adults and children.

Investigators confirmed that at least seven adults and 25 children had already been discovered.

In addition to the bodies, detectives also recovered several dismembered human remains, including four legs and hands.

The shocking discovery has intensified investigations, with authorities now working to establish the identities of the victims and the circumstances under which they were buried at the cemetery.

The latest findings significantly raise the number of bodies initially suspected to have been buried at the site.

Earlier reports had indicated that about 14 bodies were secretly interred in a single grave under unclear circumstances, prompting investigations and calls for exhumation.

Detectives are now piecing together evidence to determine whether the burials were linked to criminal activity, negligence, or a possible cover-up.
