KPLC announces power cuts to 6 Counties on Thursday ,March 12

The country's main power supplier, the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), has announced power cuts scheduled for Thursday, March 12.
In a statement shared on X, the company noted that the power interruptions are to allow maintenance, upgrading of existing power lines, and facilitating new connections to customers.
The following areas will be affected:
Nairobi
Area: Part of Karen Road (from 9 am to 5 pm)
Part of Karen Road, Karen Country Club, Marula Park, Lower Plains Road, Karen Plains Road, St. Francis ACK Church Karen, Waterfront, China Square, Farah Road, Begonia Drive, Kenya Technical Training Institute, Ndege Road, Grange Park, Korongo Road, Watermark Business Centre, Marist Lane, and Marist International University.
Kiambu
Area: Gachie, Gacharage, Ngecha (from 9 am to 5 pm)
Gachie, Gichagi, Gacharage, Kihara Market, Gachie Hospital, Karura ka Nyungu, Karura, and Kagongo.
Laikipia
Area: Jogi, Baguret, Giachuma (from 8 am to 5 pm)
Kwa Huku, Toll Station, Ngarariga, Jogi, Kamangura, Mirera, Buens Lugar Resort, Esiankiki Resort & Spa, Gathiuru, Chaka Reri, Anka Resort, Nanyuki Boarding, Ragati, Kinyuki Hotel, Soams Hotel, Airstrip, One Stop, Aberdare Cottages, Tropical Timber, Baguret, Tambuzi Farm, Bantu Lodge, Kileleshwa, Wakariru, Giachuma, Kadara, Nelion Hotel, Misty Mountain Lodge, Narumoru Boys Secondary School, and Mureru.
Area: Chumvi, Doldo, Oldonyiro (from 8 am to 5 pm)
Chumvi, Olkinyei, Kiwanja Ndege, Doldo Boys Secondary School, Doldo Market, Picha, Ilporei, Kimanju, Ewaso, Ndugu za Nguni, and Oldonyiro.
Bungoma
Area: Lufwindiri, Nzoia Market (from 9 am to 5 pm)
Kakimanyi Village, Lufwindiri, Nzoia Market, Mongonye, and St. Paul Nzoia.
Turkana
Area: Tullow Oil Company (from 9 am to 5 pm)
Tullow Oil Company and Lokichar Town.
Uasin Gishu
Area: Senetwo, Flax, Stroburg (from 9 am to 5 pm)
Flax, Kaptagat, Naiberi, Cheptigit, Kiluka, Senetwo, Sumbeiywo, Kaptagat, Uhuru Stroburg, Elgeiyo Border, Teldet, and Tendwo.
The utility firm advised affected customers to plan.
