KPLC Warns of Scheduled Power Outages Across 6 Counties on Tuesday, March 10

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power interruptions in parts of six counties on Tuesday, March 10.


The utility company cited maintenance, upgrades, and new customer connections as the reason for the outages.

According to KPLC, the temporary blackouts are essential for maintaining and stabilising power lines to ensure reliable electricity for homes and businesses.


Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare, as interruptions could last between four and nine hours.


Which counties won't have power on Tuesday, March 10?


Counties affected include: Nairobi, Isiolo, Laikipia, Baringo, Machakos, and Murang’a.

Laikipia

Timau, Ngusishi (8 am–5 pm): Timau Market, Ngusishi Market, Kwa Nganga Market, Siraj Farm, Batian Farm, Big Flower Farm, Lolmalik Farm, Maritati Market, River Side, Kiambogo Market, Ethi Market, Ngara Ndare Market, Oldonyo Farm, Kirinyaga Seeds, Master Mind Farm, Timau River Lodge, Kiguru Market.

Kangundo Road, from Joska to Nguluni (9 am–5 pm): Joska, Mutalia, Kware, Malaa, Kantafu, KBC, Koma, Sunshine, Kenanie Leather Industries, Bridgan, Ngalaya, Kwa Makau, Quickmart Joska, Kaseveni, Itere Road, Nimrod, Nguluni, and all quarries and crushers at Muusini.


Nairobi


Huruma (9 am–1 pm): Part of Juja Road and Huruma.

KPLC urged affected residents and businesses to make the necessary arrangements to minimise inconvenience during these scheduled outages.
