Prominent City Lawyer Kyalo Mbobu Shot Dead in Karen

Prominent lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu has allegedly been gunned down in a shooting incident in Karen South.

Mbobu, who previously served as the Chairperson of the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal, was reportedly attacked while driving.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants were on a motorcycle believed to have been headed toward Galleria before they allegedly dismounted and fired a close-range shot at the motorist.

The gunmen then fled the scene towards Bomas, leaving the victim fatally wounded.

The incident caused a heavy traffic snarl-up along Magadi Road as residents and motorists gathered at the scene.

Police officers and investigators have since arrived at the site, though they are yet to issue an official statement on the circumstances surrounding the killing.
