Ruto Gives Late Raila Odinga's Wife, Ida Odinga Job

President William Ruto has nominated Ida Odinga, the wife of the late Raila Odinga, for a diplomatic position.
In a gazette notice dated Friday, January 23rd, Mama Ida Betty Odinga will take over the position that was previously held by Ababu Namwamba whose nominated for an ambassadorial role to Uganda.
Ida Odinga has been appointed as Kenya’s Ambassador to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), which is headquartered in Nairobi, placing her in a strategic role within global environmental diplomacy.
The nomination, which is subject to parliamentary vetting and approval, comes against the backdrop of the passing of Raila Odinga three months ago.
