The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced February 2, 2026, as the deadline for party members intending to contest various elective positions in the 2027 General Election to register for the party’s Aspirants’ Forum.
In a notice issued on Thursday, January 29, the ruling party said registration will close at 11:59 p.m., urging all interested and qualified members to complete the process within the stipulated timeframe.
According to UDA, registration is being conducted exclusively through the party’s official portal, with aspirants also required to verify their details online before the deadline.
“All duly registered aspirants are invited to attend the UDA Aspirants’ Forum meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at State House, Nairobi, and must carry their National Identity cards for verification,” the notice stated.
The announcement follows an earlier directive issued on January 21, 2026, by UDA Secretary-General Hassan Omar Hassan formally convening the Aspirants’ Forum.
In the notice, referenced UDA/1/AF/26, Hassan said the party’s National Steering Committee, during a meeting held on January 20, 2026, resolved to convene the forum for all members seeking to vie for elective positions on a UDA ticket in the 2027 polls.
The Secretary-General noted that the registration exercise marks the start of preparations for the party’s nomination process ahead of the General Election.
