DCI seeks help with urgent Manhunt for suspect in Murder of 28 year old Kirinyaga woman

(left: wanted suspect) The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has called on the public to help in the arrest of suspect wanted for serious crimes.
In a post shared on social media, sleuths revealed that the suspect, whose name is yet to be revealed, is wanted for rape and murder.
According to the DCI, the suspect is said to have raped and subsequently murdered a 28-year-old woman on March 12, 2026 at an unknown time within Kirinyaga County.
"Any person who sights the suspect or possesses information concerning his whereabouts is requested to report immediately and in strict confidence," DCI said.
Sleuths shared two photos of the suspect to aid identification. In one image, the chocolate-skinned man, believed to be in his mid-20s to early 30s, is seen wearing a white shirt and a green jacket, while in another he dons a purple unbuttoned shirt.
Additionally, information can be shared anonymously through the #FichuaKwaDCI channels by calling the toll-free hotline at 0800 722 203 or via WhatsApp at 0709 570 000. Anyone with leads that could assist in the suspect’s arrest is also urged to report to the nearest DCI office or police station.
