Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula have left the country to lead a Kenyan delegation to the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) in Algiers, Algeria.

In a statement on Wednesday, Wetang’ula said the delegation, which also includes Members of Parliament, will represent Kenya at what he described as Africa’s premier platform for trade and investment.

Organised by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat, the summit is designed to boost intra-African trade, drive industrialisation, promote value addition, create jobs, and enhance the continent’s global competitiveness.

“The fair seeks to boost intra-African trade, drive industrialisation, promote value addition, create jobs, and strengthen the continent’s global competitiveness,” Wetang’ula noted.

According to the Wetangula, the trade fair provides businesses with a unique opportunity to tap into the integrated African market of more than 1.4 billion people with a combined GDP of over US$3.5 trillion under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
