The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened its online portal for students seeking admission into Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, October 1, KUCCPS invited qualified candidates to apply through the Student’s Portal before the deadline on October 14, 2025.
The available KMTC programmes range from certificates to diploma courses in fields such as Medical Engineering, Health Records and Information Technology, Radiography and Imaging, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Medical Laboratory Sciences, among others.
Meanwhile, KMTC has also announced a fully sponsored upgrading programme for Community Health Nursing, in collaboration with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the County Government of Turkana.
Targeting both refugees in Kakuma and Kalobeyei camps and locals from Turkana County, the two-year Upgrading Diploma in Community Health Nursing (Distance Learning) programme will be hosted at KMTC Lodwar Campus. The scholarship covers full tuition costs.
To qualify, applicants must hold a Certificate in Community Health Nursing, have at least two years of post-certificate work experience, and be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK). They must also submit a letter of introduction from a chief (for locals) or UNHCR official (for refugees).
Applications must be submitted online via the KMTC admissions portal at https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke by October 9, 2025.
Applicants are required to create an account, fill in the online form, and upload all necessary documents.
“Only applications submitted through the official platform will be considered,” KMTC noted.
This announcement follows the closure of the September 2025 intake, offering a new opportunity for aspiring medical professionals.
