KPLC Announces Planned Power Interruption in Selected Areas of Nairobi on March 28

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced a scheduled power outage on Saturday, March 28, in several areas as part of routine maintenance and system upgrades.

The planned outage is to allow KPLC to carry out necessary repairs, replacements, and maintenance work on the electrical grid. These efforts are aimed at improving the reliability and quality of the power supply in the future.

The planned interruption will take place in the Embakasi area from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Areas expected to be affected include CITAM Embakasi, KSD Business Park, Emirates Business Park, Skyline Estate, and Kenya Airways Pride Centre.

Other affected areas are Naivas and Quickmart Embakasi, Cabro Kenya Ltd, Kirinyaga Construction Company, KEMSA, and nearby customers.

Customers in these areas are advised to plan ahead by charging devices, securing backup power where possible, and unplugging electronics to prevent damage when electricity is restored.
